A psicologia da cor na estratégia de marca

O texto completo deste artigo está disponível apenas em inglês.

Colour is one of the most immediate and powerful tools in a brand's arsenal. Before a customer reads your tagline or understands what you do, they have already registered a feeling based on the colours they see. This happens in milliseconds, and it shapes everything that follows.

Emotion before logic

Studies show that up to 90% of snap judgements about products can be based on colour alone. Warm tones like gold and amber suggest warmth, quality, and tradition. Cool blues communicate trust and precision. Deep greens evoke nature and ethics. None of this is accidental in the brands you admire — it is engineered.

Owning a colour

Some of the world's most valuable brands have effectively claimed a colour as proprietary territory. This is not about trademarking a shade — it is about being so consistent and so present in a colour that the association becomes automatic. That level of recognition is enormously valuable and takes years of disciplined application to build.

The mistake most brands make

The most common colour error is selecting shades based on personal preference rather than strategic intent. Your favourite colour may not be the colour that best serves your positioning. The second most common error is inconsistency — using slightly different shades across digital and print, or letting teams apply colour without clear guidelines.

When we approach colour strategy with clients, we start by mapping the emotional territory we want to occupy, then audit what competitors are doing, and finally define a palette — primary, secondary, and functional — that can be applied with absolute consistency across every medium. Colour should be a decision made once, with rigour, and then protected.
