Cookie Policy

The Muche website sets no cookies. None: not our own, not for analytics, not for advertising, not from social networks. That is why you do not see a cookie banner when you arrive: there was nothing to ask you.

This page explains what is nonetheless stored in your browser, and the one link to a third party that the site has, which only switches on if you ask for it.

A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device and that is sent back to it each time you return. It is used to recognise you: to keep you signed in, to count visits, to show adverts. Our site uses none.

What we store in your browser

Just one thing: your language.

  • Name: muche-lang
  • Where: your browser's localStorage. It is not a cookie, but the law treats it in the same way, so we tell you about it.
  • Content: pt or en.
  • When it is stored: only when you click PT or EN on the site. If you never choose, nothing is stored and the site uses your browser's language.
  • What for: so that the site opens in the language you chose next time.
  • Duration: it does not expire. It stays until you delete it.
  • Where it goes: nowhere. It stays on your device and is never sent to any server, ours or anyone else's.

Why we do not ask for consent. It is a preference that you choose yourself, and it exists only so that the site works the way you asked. Portuguese Law 41/2004, which implements the European directive on privacy in electronic communications, does not require consent where storage is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has expressly requested. Choosing a language is exactly that.

How to delete it. In your browser settings, under site data (or "cookies and site data"), remove the data for muche.pt. The site goes back to using your browser's language.

The one link to a third party

In the "Work" section, on the desktop version, there is an image of a laptop that can show the live website of Teentac, a client of ours. By default it shows only the image. Teentac's website is loaded only if you click the "Load live preview" button.

  • If you click: teentac.pt receives your IP address and may store its own cookies on your device. We do not control which cookies they are or what they do: that is down to Teentac and that website's own policy.
  • If you do not click: nothing. Your browser does not contact teentac.pt.
  • To undo it: reload the page. Any cookies Teentac has already stored can be cleared in your browser settings, where you can also block third-party cookies.

On phones and tablets there is no button: you only see the image.

Everything else

  • Fonts, videos and images come from the site itself. We do not load fonts, scripts, videos or images from other domains.
  • We use no analytics tools, tracking pixels or advertising.
  • The links to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are ordinary links, with no buttons or embeds: you only leave our site if you click, and on those sites their rules apply.

If this changes

If the site ever starts to use cookies or other tools, this page and the privacy policy will change first, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
